The Joe Ghartey Committee has asked Member of Parliament for Bawku Central to apologize to his colleagues in Parliament for leveling allegations against the Energy Minister, Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko and Chairman of the Parliamentary Appointments Committee (PAC), Joe Osei-Owusu.
The Joe Ghartey Committee was set up by the Speaker of Parliament, Mike Oquaye, to probe the allegations and make a report on the case to ascertain the truth in the issue.
Following the Committee's report, it has been established that the Bawku Central MP and a member of the PAC made unsubstantiated and unfounded allegations, and therefore is being directed to render an unqualified apology before Parliament.
Peace FM's Parliamentary Correspondent, Emmanuel Akorli filed the report on the news bulletin at 6 pm.
The Committee’s report, which was laid before Parliament yesterday [Wednesday] recommended that Mr. Ayariga be reprimanded by the Speaker of the House in accordance with Section 35 of the Parliament Act 1965 (Act 300).
The report also recommended that Mr. Ayariga renders an unqualified apology to the House, explaining that this would purge him of contempt.
More details soon . . .

all the MPs are bribe takers, especially Ghartey committee, they took bribe from Ayariga
Ghartey committee took bribe from ayariga. I have evidence but i will not reveal it
He knew he was telling a lie and kept at it for all this while. He should be expelled to serve as a warning to others.
APOLOGY MY FOOT! He must be thrown out as a deterrent
Apology is not enough considering the waste of time, the damage to reputation and the inherent malice of his action. Apology is not enough. Otherwise, in future, of others do the same of worse, the parliament cannot do anything serious about it. APOLOGY IS NOT ENOUGH DETERRENT FOR THOSE WHO WILL DO WORSE THAN THIS IN FUTURE

From day one the signs were clear that the story was made up. Hearing from Okudzato, and other feeble minded individuals like him any one with a bit of brains could tell the lies they were building. This is the very reason why decent individuals like Hon Muntaka, the Minority Leader and even Allotey Jacobs decided not get into the gutters with these F00OLISH individuals.
May be should ask Jesus or Mohamed whoever u believes in to come and take charge of the investigation instead. even that will not help bcos we all dont believe in the same thing. just accept it the way it is and free urself.
What are the details of the committee findings, make it public, I don't believe we will ever know the true as the committee is made out of npp members who will definitly do a cover up, that is npp for you, manipulation and lies.
A b.ogus cover up...!. CHRAJ must take up the investigation so the Ghanaian public can know the actual truth in the bribery saga. Why am I not surprised? Is it not the same Joe Ghartey who suberted court procedures and illegally threw Mr Tsikata in jail?
