Former Deputy Minister of Education under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government and lawmaker for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said he has incontrovertible evidence the current government has already purchase new vehicles.
He indicate that the latest fiat by government barring state departments from purchasing new vehicles is just a cover up wondering why it must try to use that to deceive Ghanaians and make things appear as though they have the citizenry at heart.
According to him, the current claim that it has frozen the purchase of new vehicles could not be true promising to make public his investigations into the whole matter which contradicts government’s current stance.
“Why is government now attempting to close the stable when the horse has already bolted? I strong evidence to support my claim”, he said.
“There is too much of NPP propaganda, deception and misleading. They should stay away from it because the spirit of transparency is very necessary. If they can’t be truthful then we would not be heading right in the future…” he said.
“I have documents that they have ordered vehicles. The evidence I have is that they are done buying the cars.
Sometimes we should avoid the lies and say the truth. I have had them for some time now but because of national security we were not interested to bring it out.
We are forced to say it but we don’t want to say anything against our president…” he said on an Accra-based radio station.
“I am still investigating the matter. Parliament has not approved the bill so they are not to spend. I am still on if they are breaching financial laws? Maybe they have ordered or waiting for parliament to approve before they make purchase…”
“They didn’t advertise. If it’s sole sourcing they need a board approval from the procurement authority and the board hasn’t been put together. If so, then the law on sole sourcing has been breached…” he maintained.

You again after the bribery allegation failed. Can you please just ***barred word*** if you have nothing constructive to offer our beloved country
Ok, pardon ablakwa because he is still learning. Normally one year should have been enough to learn as a parliamentarian, but, you know, this guy is not a 'fast-learner'. He just wants to be heard to the satisfaction of his constituency. Unfortunately our journalists will not hold him to his word but will just publish whatever he says without following it up. That is Ghanaian journalism for you!
***barred word*** MP. Are you aware that it took effect from 21st March? There's no need if your ***barred word*** evidence was before 21st March. We will hail you if your evidence is after the 21st March 2017.
Look stop disturbing our ears. Go ahead and blow it. That is why you are in parliament to put a check on the government. Stop the threats and act. Look at where you have put Ayariga by supporting his li.es, so we know anything that you put out there is 1000% malice, so go ahead. The moment you joined the bribery saga I know the whole allegation was made up. May I know if the one who outdoored you just after birth is a chronic lia.r. You seem very comfortable in peddling untruths. God Save Ghana. We have all these in parliament.
I will be happy if this corrupt Ablakwa guy will sh.u.t up... Your NDC guys shared the state cars among yourselves like toffee.... What do you want the current govt to work with? Let them buy new cars if the need be. Otherwise return the vehicle you bought back to govt or forever sh.u.t up.. ok? What happened to the new cars that were imported by NDC govt a few weeks to the election? Where are the cars? I blame the incompetent, corrupt, greedy and sweet talker John Ford Kanazoe Dramani Mahaha.
