Deputy National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] Godwin Ako Gunn has described the drone delivery of medical supplies as “the most needless and useless means to reach remote areas in the country with medical services”.
Godwin Ako Gunn said the minority in Parliament have the right not to agree to a contract they do not understand, because as representatives how would they explain themselves to their members when the contract is messy.
According to him, government should focus and invest in employing health personnel into the unattended hospitals and chip compounds built by the previous government than abandon them for cheap political gains as they riot.
He said the $12.5 million Fly Zipline services agreement between Fly zipline and government for the use of drone technology for emergency medical supplies has nothing good to offer this nation, but in the interest of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
He was speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political discussion programme, Wednesday.
