Madam Charlotte Osei, former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), has rejected reports that she intends to contest for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Seat.
Posters circulating on social media indicates that the former EC boss wants to contest the seat which became vacant after the MP, Kyeremanteng Agyarko died, on the ticket of the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC).
However, in a reaction sighted on her social media platform, Madam Osei said she has 'never had the interest of becoming a Member of Parliament, neither does she belongs to any political party.
"I am not and have never been a registered member of any political party in Ghana or any part of the world. I do not reside in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency and do not even qualify to run for office in that constituency. I have no interest whatsoever in running of Parliament..." she said.
She has therefore urged those behind that agenda to find "better use of your artistic talent than mischief making...stop spending your life on other people's lives"
