A leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former member of the Council of State, Ama Benyiwa Doe, says Ghana’s first gentleman, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a ‘dictator’ who doesn’t listen.
To her, governance under NPP is ‘primitive’ with no proper structures – a situation she described as “appalling”.
“Do you call this governance? It’s terrible!” she snorted.
Speaking to NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’, the one-time NDC National Women's Organiser, accused the President of turning a deaf ear to recent issues in the country, deliberately to cower the opposition, especially NDC elements into submission with ‘vigilante security’.
“This government and the president are not allowing the opposition to talk. When you do they will beat you up. Governance is where the opposition’s opinion is equally counted,” she told host Kwesi Aboagye.
