NDC Member of Parliament [MP] for Upper West Akyem constituency in the Eastern Region, Derek Ohene Bekoe Asifo has cautioned members of the NPP and government to stop pointing accusing fingers at the NDC as masterminders behind the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) transmission tower collapse near its Head office.
According to him, the pointing of fingers at the largest opposition party will not help salvage concrete investigations into the scandal just as alleged by the Energy Minister.
“Why should members of the NPP blame us on this act when investigations are on-going? They should tell us why they must blame the NDC on any negative action that happens to their government? Are they indirectly telling us to blame them as well on harmful occurrences that happened to the previous government?” he asked on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ show.
“I believe members of the NPP want to succeed in courting public sympathy . . .” he stated.
However, Hon. Bekoe Asifo supports that this matter should be investigated to the bottom as the blame games ceases.
