Former National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Kofi Adams has stated that, “nowhere” is it stated in the Prof. Kwesi Botchwey Committee’s report that celebrities caused the NDC’s defeat in the 2016 election.
His comment comes on the heels of former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho's assertion that the post election report suggested celebrities played a vital role in their defeat.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Kofi Adams recalled that “We [NDC] have been using these celebrities in our campaign over the years. The Kwesi Botchwey report did not mention that. I disagree with my colleague”.
“We need them [celebrities] to win the next election. We even need pastors. We will not treat anyone as a stranger in NDC, we will not do that,” he added.
