Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disclosed that the party is likely to go to primaries in September to elect parliamentary candidates for the 2020 general elections.
He says they are likely to begin with the orphan constituencies of the party.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, Nana Obiri Boahen, Deputy General Secretary of the party explained that the exact date within the month of September is not conclusive subject and will be approved by the National Executive Committee of the party.
He explained that though the party has not taken a final decision to agree on the month, discussions are still ongoing to finalize on the month and the various processes for the parliamentary primaries.
