Mr. Albert Kan-Dapaah, the Minister of National Security, has reminded journalists to be more circumspect in their reports on national security matters.
He asked that they should at all times put the peace and security of the country ahead of every other consideration.
Doing this, he added, was in the supreme interest of every Ghanaian.
The Minister, who was interacting with a section of the media in Sunyani, expressed discomfort with the unbridled discussion of national security matters in the media and the not-too-subtle politicization of these discussions.
He cautioned that this development was not helpful to the stability of the nation and should not continue.
Mr. Kan-Dapaah applauded the tremendous contribution the media was making to the growth of the nation’s democracy and socio-economic development.
He, however, said journalists must not do anything to damage faith in institutions charged with responsibility of ensuring that everybody was safe.

Mr. Minister, I am making this date down. I will want you to say the same thing when power change hands and the National Security is dealing with your party people the same way people are being dealt with today.
You are wrong. Please check you facts well. JUST TELLING YOU. What is your source in the first place.
I may be wrong but is this not the same Ken Dapaah who was implicated in a drug deal ,or dealings with a drug kingpin involving flower vases, a few years ago? just asking.
