The National Womens organiser of the ruling New patriotic party (NPP), Madam Kate Abena Gyamfua has assured that her office will work hard with the country's security agencies to make sure justice is served to Hajia Zeinab, the NPP Asawase constituency activist who was beaten by the Asawase MP, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak during the limited voter registration exercise recently.
Honourable Muntaka slapped and mercilessly beat Madam Zeinab who tried to prevent him from registering a minor. Though Mr. Muntaka was invited by the police for interrogation, nothing much has been done for justice to be served.
Madam Gyamfuah in her three days tour to the Ashanti Region with her deputy, Hajia Sawudatu, took the opportunity to pay a visit to Hajia Zenab and her family at Aboabo to console her. She emphasized that the NPP will not turn its back on her and assured that they will continue to foot all her hospital bills. She however presented a personal cash of Two thousand Ghana Cedis (2,000) to her.
Meanwhile, Hajia Zeinab on her part, promised not to be frightened by the incident, stating that, she will continue to work hard for the party when she recovers.
