The Atta Mills Institute has applauded the immediate past Chief Justice Justice Sophia Akuffo for eulogizing the late Professor John Evans Atta-Mills for the role he played in her life as a student at the Ghana Law School.
In a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Koku Anyidoho, he noted that it is worthy to note that Justice Akuffo chose to stand on the side of good conscience and tell a story that speaks volumes about a woman whose meteoric rise to the pinnacle of her chosen career, did not cloud‐out her profound gratefulness to a lecturer whose personal touch helped her to walk a very illuminating career path.
”The AMI is not only thankful to the immediate‐past Chief Justice for openly acknowledging the role the late President played in her academic life but also place a badge of honor on her chest for her valedictory Ruling in the Martin Kpebu V. the Attorney General’s case that went before the Supreme Court.”
