Former President John Dramani Mahama says Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will collapse if Ghanaians again vote the NPP into power.
He expressed shock and described as ‘shameful’ how Ghana’s economy has become in recent times – but said if, given the chance to rule again, things will change.
Mr Mahama, however, tagged himself as a ‘tactician coach’ who is ever ready to make the necessary changes to ensure that Ghana regains its promising economy.
“The state of our nation is dire and crisis-ridden but in the last few weeks happenings in the football arena have taught us what can happen if we change course and do the right things. This lesson came in the shape of our gallant Black Stars who secured qualification to the 2022 World Cup by defeating a much fancied and vaunted rival.”
“Dismissed, vilified, and disparaged after their poor showing at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, the management of the team affected badly needed changes, which provided a new sense of purpose and direction, the culmination of which is the qualification to the Qatar World Cup in 2022.”
“Today, that qualification has provided a glimmer of hope on a very gloomy national horizon. Congratulations once again Gallant Black Stars! My prayers and support will always be with you.”
“The Black Stars journey to the Qatar 2022 World Cup Finals provides useful lessons on which we can model responses to the socio-economic disaster of today. If a team written off by pundits can reinvent itself, work together under the right leadership, and attain international glory; then the answers to our present woes are not far-fetched, they are within us to achieve.”
“If we work hard at it together – under exemplary and selfless leadership willing to make the right choices and the right calls – we will emerge out of this current crisis better and more united as a nation.” Mr Mahama said at a lecture dubbed Ghana at a crossroad on Monday, May 2, 2022.
To him, Ghana can only ‘crash’ if its citizens display the ‘I don’t charisma attitude toward national developments.
“Failure is not an option. We have in our hands, an opportunity to act and do so quickly – at this crossroads – to return hope to our motherland.” He reiterated

Eh!!! Wopana se 3den? Hmmmmmm! Ayoo like my todia will say.
I have always been telling those who are close to the former president to take the flask from him. The flask contains Tennessee Whisky so he talks under the influence of alcohol. A good manager of the economy does hand over the economy to the IMF. Even when we were in Dumsor people did not say the economy is in crisis.
You promised to reduce the electricity tariffs but you rather increased them by over 100% and still kept us in darkness for four years. You promised to cancel the CST which was set at 6% by President Kufuor but you increased it to 9% till you left office in 2017 before Akufo Addo reduced it. You promised to make us pay a one time NHIL premium but you failed to implement it. You made teachers work for three years and paid them only three months salary. You cancelled teacher and nurse trainee allowances and said 'if losing the election was the price to pay for if I am prepared to lose the elections'. You taxed condoms and cutlasses and introduced 2% special import tax. You taxed aviation fuel 17% which resulted in the collapse of local airlines Antrak and 548 Airlines. In all you introduced 18 taxes and even taxed Kaayayei which was cancelled by the current administration. John Mahama is not the right person to talk about taxes being too many. All he's interested in is to return to amass more wealth and plunge the nation into further economic crises and gift the nation's resources to his family and friends. Saglemi, Cocobod, NCA, SSNIT, MASLOC and more..........his appointees are on trial for for stealing the nation's funds. He gave 60% of the nation's bauxite deposits to his brother with one week to the end of his administration. Mahama is not the man to return to the presidency because he knows that will be his last opportunity to become a multy-US$billionaire.
the man was talking under the influence of agoglo and could not listen to himself. Ghanaians are not that ***barred word***. He can deceive some brain -dead people but cannot deceive all of Ghanaians
Wonders they say will never end, eeeeiiii former president Mahama is now a master tactician to change Ghana's economy for the better?
Hahahhahhhaa aaaaaa very sad to hear this
What a wawoo!! Wonders will never end. Mahama a master tactian? How can somebody who could not manage our economy and handed it to IMF talk like this? Incredible.
