Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader of parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has disclosed that parliament is likely to resume from their recess on the 24th May, 2022.
He says a meeting is actually underway to ascertain when they will actually resume parliamentary duties after their long break.
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he was however optimistic that they will resume on the afore mentioned date.
Parliament went on break on April 5, 2022, to end the First Meeting of the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
The House however sat on April 4, and extended sitting to allow members to finish other businesses and continue with the debate on the State of the Nation Address delivered by President Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday 30th March 2022.
A motion for the debate on the State of the Nation Address was moved by the MP for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea and seconded by MP for Asunafo South, Eric Opoku.
