Pollster, Ben Ephson says anyone who doubts his election prediction is either a “baby” in politics or with a “short memory”.
The Managing Editor of the Dispatch Newspaper is under pressure after getting his prediction wrong on the just ended Ashanti regional NPP elections.
Ben Ephson had predicted that Chairman Wontumi will lose the regional elections – however, Wontumi beat his closest contender, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, also known as COKA by over 100 votes to win a reelection as Chairman of the Ashanti Region.
After the election, many have tagged Ben Ephson as a 'lair' for wrongly predicting another election in Ghana.
But he has defended his ‘false’ prediction with claims that, “Chairman Wontumi won the elections with money.”
According to him, if delegates were not bought, his prediction would have been accurate.
He, however, said those doubting his political forecasts have “short memories” – or “babies” who have little idea in politics.
“I need to remind them of my records,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie'.

Braa Epson, you goofed big time. Your apo has finished. Just coil back into your shell.
Ephson, hear this. Next time use the word "may ". In that case your caption should have been " Why Wontumi MAY lose". You were definite with your caption thus " why Wontumi WILL lose ". The man won with a wide margin so admit you got it wrong. Human beings are very unpredictable and therefore cannot be easily predicted as you want us to believe. What happened to you is what we call in the Ghanaian parlance "well dodge ". Next time be wise and smart. hahahaaaa. Remember Sir John anytime you are guessing about elections in Ghana, " fear delegates "
Hahahaaaa, every man was once a baby, admit that you got it wrong and stop shifting the goal. To say that but for the money spent on delegates Wontumi would have lost is baby talk. Mention one Ghanaian politician in recent times who won an election without spending a pesewa on voters. Mention 1. In Ghana anyone guess and get it right is tagged as renowned, expect, seasoned, etc. Even University Professors sometimes get it wrong much much less a guess work journalist. If you fail, you have failed, period
Massa no defence here. you got it wrong Period!!
