STC Managing Director, Nana Akomea has hinted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) may have Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen on the same ticket to run for 2024 Presidential elections.
The Bawumia/Alan campaigns have become intensified after the NPP Regional delegates elections held over the weekend.
The Alan faction claims the Regional elections are tilted in favor of their candidate as they believe the a large number of the executives who won the elections are pro-Alan.
The Regional elections foreshadow the upcoming big contest between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kyerematen following the party's national delegates conference.
Speaking on Peace FM's flagship programme "Kokrokoo", Nana Akomea, who was a former Communications Director of the party and a Minister of Tourism, stated on record that there are ongoing discussions to merge Bawumia and Alan for greater good of the NPP.
He stated emphatically that the discussions are so far fruitful.
"Kwami I can tell you happily that I know some of these approaches are going on. Nobody has rejected it," he said.

It does not matter what influenced your decision to join any party, but your resort to loyalty, hard work, and competence that you bring on board matters most. Regardless, it's equally true that it takes a visionary leader to see the capability and ability in his appointees, defining the policy he has in store for society. No wonder, it is the cardinal policy of the NDC to propagate falsehoods devoid of constructive and intellectual argumentation.
When did barwumia joined this party? He is just a choice of one person, nana, who picked him as running mate. Suddenly, because of parochial interest they want Alan to be his mate. By the way, what about agyarko, appreko, addai nimo, joe ghartey, afriyie akoto and ken agyepong? Are they not also interested in being president and you are pushing for what? No one wants our party to be a northern one in future.
This will be one of the most wisest political decisions the NPP would have taken in the political history of Ghana. I hope t's true and comes to pass for the greater good of the Party. Break the eight through Unity, Hardwork and Demonstrable Competence of this Duo (BAWUMIA AND ALAN)
That would be the NPP's most well-thought strategy to set the 16-year term record. Both candidates are hard-working, competent, innovative, gentle, and free of corruption. Furthermore, they have been remarkably instrumental in Akufo-Addo's policy of transforming the colonial raw material-based economy to modern-day production and technology based value-adding industrialization. As a result, the continuity of the policies are guaranteed. Ghanaians would then have started to feel and experience some of the benefits of the flagship projects like 1D1F, FSHS-education and what have you. This would refute and contradict the NDC's policy of malice and ill-informed propaganda. And the NDC would need to find enough balls to withstand collapsing.
