The Member of Parliament for Nanton, Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua has been involved in an accident.
The accident occurred while the MP who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture was on his way to Parliament Friday to take part in proceedings.
According to reports, the MP was brought to Parliament in an ambulance due to the accident to take part in voting on the Income Tax Amendment Bill, Excise Duty Amendment Bill, and Growth and Sustainability Amendment Bill.
Meanwhile, he has been taken back to the hospital for medical attention.

I wish our MPs don’t have political affiliations. At this time, they are of no use to the country. A dying MP should not be rushed to parliament to vote just because the minority will always vote against the government policy. We can’t develop with this mindset. Wishing him speedy recovery.
