Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin has declared the Kumawu seat vacant following the death of Philip Basoah.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, Philip Basoah died on Monday, March 27 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he has been on admission for a serious ailment, at age 54.
According to Speaker Bagbin, Parliament has officially written to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Jean Mensah to inform her of the death of the MP.
