The largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to investigate and prosecute all persons involved in the Agyapa Royalties deal when voted into power.
Speaking at a press conference dubbed "The Moment of Truth," on Monday, February 19, 2024, the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, said, "the next NDC government will investigate the stinky $12 million “Agyapa” scam, retrieve all illegal payments made under the same, and ensure that all the perpetrators are prosecuted."
"My brothers and sisters, I have the full blessing of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to inform you and, by extension, the good people of Ghana, that the next NDC government will investigate the stinky $12 million 'Agyapa' scam, retrieve all illegal payments made under the same, and ensure that all the perpetrators are prosecuted. The day of accountability is fast approaching, and no one found culpable will be let off the hook by the next NDC/Mahama government."
"This is a solemn pledge and our charge to keep when, by the grace of God and the Ghanaian people, the NDC assumes the reins of government in 2025," he said.
Ghanaians suffering
Sammy Gyamfi further indicated that Ghanaians "are suffering because of the unprecedented corruption we are witnessing under Akufo-Addo and his corrupt protégé Bawumia."
He added, "This is why today, students are suffering; teachers are suffering; nurses are suffering; doctors are suffering; market women are suffering; drivers are suffering; mates are suffering; Okada riders are suffering; engineers are suffering; pastors are suffering; journalists are suffering; spare parts dealers are suffering; women are suffering; men are suffering; “boys boys” are suffering; “girls girls” are suffering; children are suffering; and all of us are suffering."

Has Sammy Gyamfi answered Muntaka's questions on how and where he got his two Toyota land cruisers? We are waiting for those answers as well as where he got the money to buy the East Legon mansion and the plush wedding he did. SOMEONE WHO DOESNT WORK BUT WAKES UP IN THE MORNING AND JUST MOVE FROM ONE RADIO OR TV STATION TO THE OTHER JUST TALKING ANYTHING. PROFESSIONAL POLITICIAN:)
What about the Airbus scandal involving John Mahama The Government Official 1? NDC is just a joke.
they will investigate what? they should investigate Hope City and STX Korea housing deal, they should investigate airbus, kanazoe, they should invetigate trotro ambulance. ah well Ghanafuo eto gye moara.
@Biibesi, I don't condone anything corruption, but you must be honest and fair in your critique. Does Sammy gyamfi building at airport hills means he is corrupt? How does he engage in corruption with public funds as an opposition member? That will mean that he's doing so with corrupt people in government. But wait, the fact that you didn't hear him deny the allegation doesn't mean that he never did or that it's true. Meanwhile, there was evidence of Eugene Arhin's mansions and many properties that he acquired after they came to power, shown by his own wife, how can you be overlooking this? How can you overlook Cecilia Dapaah's rot? Clearly shows that you are not a honest person and that's typical of NPP loyalists who have switched off their conscience and brains for party sake.
@Kwamewiase, you have taken the wind out of me. This Sammy Gyamfi is building a mansion at the upper class Airport hills even in opposition without any work experience. His own national organiser said it and this loud mouth has never come out to deny it. Imagine if this man became a minister. Mahama is an embodiment of corruption so you can tickle yourself and enjoy it. Ghanaians will have a sober reflection and see the alternative if even they are not happy with the Akuffu Addo’s governance.
Go for his blessings to investigate the Airbus shame
