Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has cautioned the Electoral Commission against committing errors and other technical glitches that may result in chaos during the December 7 polls.
Assessing the outcome of the limited registration exercise where the EC on Day 2 and 3 of the event recorded some arithmetic errors but later corrected them, Pratt expressed worries over what could happen in the general elections should the EC repeat their mistake.
Commenting during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Pratt alluded to the Commission's declaration during the 2020 elections stating they declared the results three times which affected the credibility of the process.
To him, he needs a guarantee from the EC that this year's elections will be free from confusions.
"What is the assurance that no person will lose their lives in this year's elections. EC is responsible for the security of elections...The Police and soldiers can come there but the EC has the responsibility for protecting the elections," he said.
