Actress Yvonne Okoro’s first experience working with director Shirley Frimpong is on the latter’s running 10-chapter movie, ‘Adams Apples’.
She described her experience with Shirley as comfortable.

Even though she did not compare her to other producers and directors in the industry, Yvonne told NEWS-ONE that it had been exciting working on Shirley’s set. She said she was happy working with her because she was professionally treated. “Oh yeah, we get along very well. I think she knows what she is doing and she understands what she is doing.

I think that is the most important thing. And she loves what she is doing at the end of the day. So if even there is no money at the end, it is the fact that you love what you are doing. That is the most important thing. I think when you turn to love what you are doing, you turn to get rich profits, and you turn to understand the craft…” she described Shirley’s passion for her job and current production.
Yvonne plays Baaba, one of the Adams women.

In the opening chapter of the series, she struggles to forgive her estranged husband for his indiscretions whilst her own tear her apart.
In chapter two, an ugly pre-divorce fight ensues between Baaba and her husband which pushes the latter to give Baaba an ultimatum if she has to continue to spend time with their daughter.

At the end of chapter four, the only one for whom things seem to turn out okay is Baaba who is working things out with her eager husband. But there are indications that things may change in subsequent chapters. Yvonne Okoro has within a short period gathered a large fan base. She has also made a breakthrough into Nollywood with some roles out there.

Yvonne made her first appearance in 2002 when she featured in ‘Sticking to Promise’, and later in the soap opera ‘Tentacles’, both produced by Theo Akatugba. Currently, she has a number of movies to her credit.

Yvonne had a successful career before she left for France to further her education some years ago. She enrolled at the Universite de Norte where she studied French Civilization and Culture and also did a bit of drama and marketing. She returned to Ghana last year to pick up from where she left off.
