Several months after working on his own projects, popular movie director Frank Rajah is back to work with Venus Films Production for the first time in 2013.
He is currently directing the production house’s first movie for this year and exciting things are happening on set, according to sources.
The upcoming movie’s working title is ‘The Price’, the same title as Yvonne Nelson’s first produced movie.
It is featuring award winning actor Adjetey Anang and Jackie Appiah as the lead cast. Frank Rajah last directed ‘The Refugees’ in December 2012. He has since been holidaying in Nigeria but has returned to work with Abdul Salam, his old pal.
‘The Refugee’ script is touted as Frank’s best yet and he made frantic efforts to raise the bar with it. It is yet to come out.
It was shot in parts of James Town, a coastal suburb of Accra and Tema Harbour The director, whose movie provided Africa’s best actor (Majid Michel) at the last African Movie Academy Awards, managed to do away with the majority of the usual faces on Ghanaian TV screens by way of not featuring them. He brought actresses down from the United States to feature in the movie.
