Ecow Smith Asante, one of Ghana’s versatile actors, has opined that the cost involved in transporting the remains of the late former president of the Ghana Actors Guild, Nii Odoi Mensah is senseless.
It has been estimated that transporting the remains from China to Ghana will cost a whopping US$68,000. This is according to Francis Dogbey, Treasurer of the Ghana Actors Guild.
But speaking on TOP Showbiz hosted by Kwame Buckman on Saturday, Ekow Smith said it did not make sense in spending such a huge amount of money transporting the corpse, whereas, he needed US$26,000 to be treated.
He told Kwame Buckman that this should have rather been given to him to treat his ailment when he was alive rather than spending it on his lifeless body.
