The organizers of the Governing Board of Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA), NMJ, Ghana have announced Mr Francis Doku as its new Director of Communications Africa.
A communication expert with great marketing skills, Francis Doku joins the GMAA, team with an impressive 15 year record in the areas of Creative Arts, Communications and Marketing.
He has also served on numerous boards of many artiste related events in Ghana and Africa. As an award scheme, Golden Movie Awards Africa seeks to reward the best in television and the movie industry in Africa and to use its platform to help change the narrative of the African story through film.
Communications and PR for previous editions of the awards was handled by Wilhelmina Andani popularly known as Mimi who is also the Golden Movie Awards Africa country Director for West Africa.
This year’s event which is on the theme, Golden Three is aimed at empowering the African filmmaker.
The event is expected to come off in July and already, nominations are open for filmmakers across Africa to submit their works at www.goldenmovieawards.com and for official information about the event.

We are hopeful he will bring his expertise on board to build the GMAA, brand, said Mimi Andani an executive member of the board.
