Ghanas afro pop singer Rebecca Acheampong aka Becca, who is recognised on the international music scene as one of Ghanas talented afro pop singers, has disclosed that her second album would be released onto the music market very soon.
Becca made this known to 'Beatwaves' in a chat at the Aphrodisiac Night Club last Saturday during the 4SYTE Celebrity Bash which attracted a number of seasoned music stars as well as music lovers from all walks of life.
The afro pop singer, whose soothing and sleek voice has been likened to Keisha White, did not perform as expected by her fans who spotted her in the club. The afro pop star was spotted in the club with her manager, Kiki Banson, who was seen discussing issues with some stakeholders in the music industry.
Many music fans who attended the celebrity bash were amazed and delighted to see Becca at the club. Some took photographs with her whilst others requested for her phone number and her BlackBerry pin number to enable them chat with her.
The attention-grabbing show compelled people driving by to stop just to catch a glimpse of Becca, who was also accompanied by her personal assistant and the public relations officer of EKB Records, to interact with her.
Becca told 'Beatwaves' that everything was set for the release of the album, adding that the date and venue for the launch would be announced at a later date. This new album is a reflection of my growth and a new chapter in my music career. I want people to take something from me with them when they listen to all the songs on my second album, she said.
The album, according to her, is suitable for every occasion, from weddings to family reunions, among others.
Currently, Becca is considered as one of the most sought-after performers in Ghana today. No wonder she has featured on prominent shows in Ghana and beyond. Becca has been hard at work on her second album since her maiden Sugar collection came out at the end of 2007. She has already put out three singles meant for the new album, the very popular Forever And Ever, Eti Sen and Push.
Ghanaian music fans would confirm that Beccas presence in the music industry has added a new flavour to Ghanaian music.
