International Gospel musician-Sonnie Badu would have surely preferred that the talk was directed to his recently held Concert-Africa Worships, which was more than a success
However, a publication by NewsOne which stated among other things that, Sonnie Badu once said at a press conference Ghanaian Gospel Musicians Sing Nonsense and Also Do Not Exalt God has become the subject of attention.
Sonnie Badu has taken to Twitter to debunk the publication which suggests that the he once insulted his Gospel musical counterparts in Ghana
Reacting to the story on Twitter yesterday, Sonnie Badu wrote; Its been drawn to our attention that there is a news circulation that I said This and that about Ghanaian gospel artist .. Well first of all I am a big fan of Ghana gospel music and I would never say such a thing ..,
He continued by saying, Its quite sad that upon the victory God gave us all on sat [Saturday], someone tries to destroy what God is doing. It [is] sad that In ur own country instead of people appreciating ur efforts they are doing all they can to destroy what God is doing.
Sonnie Badu further tweeted Once again I am a big fan of Ghana gospel music and I will continue in my own little way to let the world know about this beautiful country.
Without hesitation, he added, The sad thing is that news paper that released that false news were media partners who were paid to talk about the show .. Still I say thank you to them for all their support

His sharp comparison which others have said was not necessary, Sonnie added but its my cross and I will carry it..
Kwame Nkrumah was never appreciated by his own until he died ..I have had the chance to travel extensively and in other African countries they hail, love and respect their Heros.. NIGERIA for example is a country that respect those who have brought honour to their country .. I would like to advice other people to learn from that,.
According to him the recent concert-Africa Worships With Sonnie Badu has thought him great lessons because it turned out to be those you had sacrificed for them, were truly not on ur side .. Those in their days of trouble you stepped in and supported whole heartily were the same ones looking for ur down fall.
Those you call ur brothers and sisters were the same ones that would rise against you !! But what is written is written !! And I am grateful to all of them !! May they never lack oil.. May God bless them, may they see joy ,.
But the Editor of News One newspaper-Halifax Ansah has described Sonnie Badu as a liar for denying his publication, claiming he has his voice on a recording
Halifax Ansah who spoke to the mid-morning show on Radio Universe yesterday described Sonnie Badu as someone with a lying personality and that if Sonnie Badu was insisting that he never made statements that implied many Ghanaian gospel songs do not make sense, then he is a liar.
According to the Editor, the statement in contention was made by Sonnie Badu at a press conference he organised some two years ago.
Halifax added that if the story he had published wasnt true, why would he (Sonnie Badu) send two people to come plead with me to stop running the story?
Pushing the buttons, Halifax continued sometimes certain people just want to force us to say things we dont want to say. He said he was going to have a press conference today, ask him why he has still not been able to have it. He should be explaining to people why certain artists pulled out of the concert.
He should explain why the likes of Cwesi Oteng and Ohemaa Mercy pulled out of his show at the very last minute, look, he shouldnt force some of us to say things.
