After about 2 months search for the best pool player for the year 2013, the finals of the Stone/YFM pool tournament finally comes to a close in a grand style at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Friday, December 6th, 2013.
The finals of the 4th edition of the Stone-YFM pool tournament will feature a perfect blend of Dancehall and Azonto artistes including Stonebouy, Jupiter, and Bisa, according to organizers of the tournament.
William Nanka Bruce, General Manager of YFM commented in an interview that, �just as we do every year, we have toured neighbourhoods in various Regions in the country engaging the youth in pool sports.
We are bringing a lot more excitement in the finals this year by bringing on board celebrated music icons in the country to entertain audiences at the Kumasi Sports Stadium as we search and crown the best pool player for the year 2013. It has been fun so far and we look forward to having wonderful moments in Kumasi with the pool players and our fans.
According to Mr James Boakye, Marketing Manager of Accra Breweries Limited, �we have had exciting moments partnering with YFM for the 4th time to organize the pool tournament. The pool tournament has indeed revealed that Ghana really has some hidden talents in the country which ABL and YFM keep discovering.
We hope to see regional representatives play their very best in the finals on December 6th in Kumasi.� Mr Boakye encouraged those who fell off during the competitions to join the competition again next year.
He said �this is a great opportunity to showcase the talents the youth have in pool sports as the game is gaining much recognition worldwide. I will urge everyone who could not make it to the finals to try again next year.�
Prizes to be given to winners after the finals include pool table, Samsung tablets, trophies, and cash prizes.
