Award winning female gospel musician Selina Boateng is set to celebrate her anniversary marking her 10th year in the Ghanaian music industry.
The gospel diva made a triumphant entry into the gospel music industry in the year 2004 with her debut album entitled ''Dako Beye Meda.”
This particular song and the style with which Selina used in delivering the songs on the entire album sent a signal to whoever knows and understands what an artiste is made up of, to foresee the great future ahead of Selina Boateng. Even though Selina faced a lot of challenges after her debut album as to how to get a committed business man to invest in her talent, she succeeded in coming out with her second album also titled ''Wo Beye Nhyira'' in 2009.
After which she met Mr Charles Sarpong of Cebex Music production who has consistently invested in her since her third album in 20011 titled 'Menku Meho,' which also had wonderful songs like 'Medofo Pa.'
Her latest album in town is titled ''I'm Grateful''. It contains ten powerful songs including 'Alpha and Omega,' 'Eda Papa Bi,' 'Onyame Akwanso,' 'Oyonko,' 'Me First and Last' among others. Selina Boateng told your reliable Flex Newspaper in a phone interview that, she is playing a big concert in Accra and Kumasi in August to commemorate her 10th Anniversary.
''It is always good to remember where God took you from and where He has brought you and where He is sending you. I intentionally titled my latest album ''I'm Grateful'' so as to show the world how grateful I am to God. He has been my back bone since. I have always said my success is of the Lord. He is the one who gave me the talent and He is still the one who provided people with good heart to push me to the top. This 10th Anniversary, as planned, will be held in Accra first and later replicate same in Kumasi. We will soon, come out to spread out all the plans for this anniversary very soon. We are still in preparation.'' Selina Boateng said.
“I will use this platform to thank my producer Mr. Chalres Sarpong, all Presenters in Ghana, the media, my secret admirers, all gospel musicians, Prophets and pastors in all churches who support and pray for my ministry every now and then. I will not also forget my fans across the world over. They should continue to pray for me as usual and they should also expect great things from me after the 10th Anniversary. I am preparing to host some concerts after my anniversary and to do a lot of collaborations with foreign artistes since we want to extend our ministry the world over'' Selina noted.
