Legendary Ghanaian High-life Musician Rex Owusu Marfo know in showbiz circles as Rex Omar, says he is now ready for every show that may come on his way after years of returning back into the music scene.

The veteran musician in an interview with Melvina Frimpong Manson on Suncity Radio last weekend said, "The return of Rex Omar is a full coming back, with my band and everything, so we are ready for every show."

According to him, his absence from the music scene for about 10 years was necessary to contemplate the past in order to help shape the future of Ghanaian music.

Speaking on his brand new song for fathers; Rex Omar said the song 'Paapa' is aimed at admonishing parents especially fathers to take care of their children and also a wake-up call for leaders to think about the future of the country.

"Majority of Ghanaians wants to get rich quicker, so they don't mind using fraudulent ways to achieve that goal, cutting down of trees, galamsey which damage our water bodies and so on, this song is to create awareness to our leaders and everybody to be mindful and take good care of our resources."

He questioned that, "What will be left behind if we sell all our gold, diamonds, timber, etc, and without or no proper allocations to the next generation."

Upcoming Projects;

"I have recorded a series of 16 tracks album but since there's a dynamic change in the industry, about six tracks will be detached before the final album comes into the final domain."

He stated that the yet to be release album features Okyeame Kwame, Samini, Sarkodie, Trigmatic and have also lay in provisions to feature almost all the renowned female singers in the country."

Fans of Rex Omar can check him out on the various social media platforms with the handle “Iamrexomar”.
