Awal Mohammed the 1st runner-up in the first season of TV3s Talented Kids has praised Ghanaian BET Award winner and top rapper Sarkodie for the role he has played in his life.
Awal who completed Mfantsipim Senior High School last year was just a little over 12-years old and a student at the Accra New Town Experimental Junior High School when he mesmerized audience and viewers of TV3s Talented Kids with his dazzling quick style of rapping and punchlines.
In a recent interview with TV3, Awal details how Sarkodie has helped him since he was discovered on the show. He also thanked him for doing several tracks with him and allowing him to stay with him for about 6 years.
“He promised to do a song with me, and he did more than that…for 6 years now i have been living with Sarkodie and he paid my school fees in Senior High School level (sic), God bless him for that” he said.
It will be recalled that Sarkodie described Awal as his first son from rap university. True to his words he has nurtured him and very soon fans of Ghana rap should expect to feel the punches of his rap.
