Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Nana Quame, has said that he is the best singer in Ghana. He made this bold statement when he was interviewed on Radio GIJ’s ‘Weekend Train’.
Aside from making several other revelations, the numerous award-winning artiste, said he is the best singer in Ghana. He said he had had the opportunity to be in the studio with many singers and so far so good, he hasn’t met any Ghanaian musician that can top his talent.
The Male Vocalist of the Year 2003 said, “no one in Ghana sings better than I do. I have been to the studios with them. I know what they can do. I know their strengths and I know their weakness. Who? They should come out.”
Born Henry De-Mensah in 1978, Nana Quame denied ever challenging Ofori Amponsah on stage. He said all he did was to answer a question.
He was asked who the best was between he and Ofori Amponsah. And all he said was, “put the two of us on stage and judge. Simple.”
The ‘Asew Konofo’ hit-maker has a new one out. This he calls ‘Medo’.
