Alex, Ghanas representative at the Tails house in the ongoing Big Brother Africa (6) Amplified has dodged eviction after the first nomination session in the Tails house on Monday May 16, 2011, day 16 in the BBA game.
Alex, who had never tasted nominations since the game begun on May 1, was the first to be called by Big Brother to the chartroom to name two of his housemates he wants to be evicted from the house and state his reasons.
Though he seemed to be put on the spot, Alex mentioned Nigerian housemate Karen and Nkule from South Africa as his choice of evictees. For his reasons Alex said though Karen is lively, she does not take part of activities in the house and Nkule was too distanced from the other housemates and she does not partake in cooking and other chores in the house.
Karen from Nigeria also nominated Alex but Karens single nomination was not enough to put Alex up for eviction. At the end of nominations four Tails housemates were put up for eviction: Karen (Nigeria), Nkule (South Africa), Kim (Zambia) and Luclay (South Africa).
However, the list changed when outgoing head of house (HoH) Miss P, had no choice than to save one of the four nominated housemates and swap with another housemate. She saved Karen and replaced her with Mumba from Zambia, putting Nkule, Kim, Luclay and Mumba up for eviction this week.
On the other side in the Heads house, Confidence broke down in tears during her Chat Room session as she told Biggie how sad she felt about Danny leaving and how Vimbai had hurt her.
Confidence said Danny is not just her friend but he was her sanity check and she would miss every moment she shared with him.
Confidence kept thanking Africa for keeping her in the game and said it felt great to know that Africa had her back. She added that she was still trying to get over how Zimbabwean housemate, Vimbai had blamed her for the Discreetly Nude photo shoot stating that it would be hard to fully trust her again.
Vimbai also said Confidence had overreacted to her comments but they had tried to iron out their differences over the weekend.
The two told Big Brother during their respective chartroom sessions that they are still working to put their relationship in progress but Vimbai stated categorically that she wanted to tread carefully. Confidence is sure of another week stay in the house because there was no nomination in the Heads house this week. In effect, Ghana is free from eviction this week.
