Outspoken member of Nima base Hiplife trio VIP (Vision In Progress) Promzy (real name Emmanuel Ababio) has a new look.
Promzy, the 'bad' boy among the award winning trio, arrived at a press conference prior to the “Ghana Meets Naija” concert on Thursday June 30, 2011 at the Accra Mall with a new set of eye balls.
Promzy already has countless tattoos on his body, including one with the group’s name and also spots an artificial gold tooth. But now the rugged looking handsome rapper has cat-like black and white eye balls.
The shortest and most radical among the hiplife trio wowed people at the Silverbird upper Terrance when he appeared with what looked like contact lens on both eyes.
Though several people around looked surprised and wondered why Promzy decided to change his looks, he was proudly showcasing it as he was seen posing with other musicians and his fans.
Promzy, who is the most active on stage as far as the group is concern, is known for his vibrant stage antics and his unpredictable attitude on stage during performances.

Promzy, Lazy and Prodigal of VIP
VIP (Vision In Progress) is a Ghanaian Hiplife group. Made up of Promzy (Emmanuel Ababio), Prodigal (Joseph Nana Ofori), and Lazzy (Abdul Hamid Ibrahim) from a ghetto suburb in Accra, Ghana called Nima.
This group was actually founded by an ex-member, Friction (Musah Haruna) who made this group with a friend of his called Bone who later had to leave the group for the U.S. to complete his education.
The group was originally made of six members; Friction, Bone, Promzy, Lazy, Prodigal and Chicago (a dog). Friction's dog, Chicago, was also an official member of the group. You could hear the dog growling at the end of their tracks from the late 90s. Chicago sadly pass away in 1997. After Chicago’s death, Bone and Friction also left the group leaving the current trio, and they have released hits upon hits since 2000 till date.
Currently, VIP is under Paradise Entertainment Management and their sixth album is making much waves following the huge success of the Hiplife documentary HomeGrown produced by independent film maker Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi and Hashim Haruna of Boogie Down Nima Productions.
This year, some of the awards they have swept include Artiste of the Year and Hiplife/Hip-hop Artistes of the Year Ghana Music Awards 2011, Best Group, the best video in the 4syte Music Video Awards, Artiste of the year at the City People Awards and the Best Group at the Joy FM Nite with the stars.
They also set a record this year as the only artiste to win the “Artiste of the Year” award twice in the history of the Ghana Music Awards.
