A number of stakeholders in the music industry have called on Pastor Love Hammond and his wife Christiana Love to desist from discussing their marital issues on radio.

The stakeholders, who were not happy about the way the problems between the couple were being handled, noted that they were saddened by the turn of events and blamed the couple for not handling the issue in a mature manner.

Christiana Love disclosed that her decision to divorce her pastor husband was based on unending abuses he subjected her to.

The stakeholders on the other hand hinted that they did not support Christiana Love’s decision to divorce her husband, adding that the two should not allow the devil to destroy their marriage.

The stakeholders, who believe the problems facing the couple could easily be solved, called on Christiana Love’s family not to present the drink and Bible to Pastor Love’s family in a bid to dissolve the marriage, adding that with time, things would work out between the two.

One of the stakeholders and the President of the National Society of Ghana Music Producers (NASGAMP), John Mensah Sarpong, in a chat with BEATWAVES, stressed that he was not happy with the current development in the marital home of pastor Love Hammond, who is a member of the association.

He disclosed that when the issue cropped up, he advised the couple to sit down and settle the issue amicably “since Christiana Love had made up her mind to divorce the husband, there is nothing the association could do about it”.

He was of the view that although the wife had made her intentions known, the issue could easily be solved.

The head pastor of Awakeners Chapel International, Pastor Peter Kayode, who is also a gospel musician, failed to comment on the issue when contacted. When BEATWAVES pressed further for him to comment on the issue, all he could say was that Ghanaians should wait upon the Lord, who had answers to all problems.

Meanwhile, Pastor Love, who is yet to make his decision known as to whether he will accept his wife’s decision to divorce him, blamed Adom FM for using his past life against him and supporting Christiana Love and her family members to disgrace him.

In an interview, the handsome-looking Pastor Love, who was sad and could not control his emotions, said he had decided to keep quite over the issue since Ghanaians had already crucified him through the media.
