Peace FMs Entertainment Review host Kwasi Aboagye was given the shock of his life, during the Thursday edition of his programme, when a surprise party was organized to celebrate his 40th birthday which fell on Monday March 12, 2012.
He was given a surprise party live on air, right in the middle of his show. In the middle of an interview with Mark Okraku Mantey on the just ended Mentor 6 Show, the surprise guests invaded the studio singing a happy birthday song and some familiar gospel tunes. They came along with drinks, some eateries and a birthday cake.
The interview ended abruptly as Kwasi Aboagye broke down in tears of joy.
Kwasi was so hit by the surprise so much that, the tears kept flowing as he was surrounded by close friends and colleagues. He couldnt utter a word for several minutes until he was forced out of the studio for Micky Darling to take over the show.
He admitted that it really took him by surprise and confessed that he has never experienced anything like that in his entire life before. He thanked God for seeing him through to attain age 40 and asked for His protection for the rest of his life. He also thanked the entire guest present for making time out of their busy schedule to make the day a memorable one for him.
Kwasi also celebrated 12 years of marriage to his wife Mrs. Joyce Aboagye and the mother of his male quadruplets.
The common line which ran through most of the messages of solidarity and goodwill from the guests was Life Begins at 40.
The surprise guests included some renowned and distinguished personalities in showbiz circles, musicians, sound engineers and entertainment journalists such as DSP Kofi Sarpong, Kwabena Kwabena, Ohema Mercy, Nacy and Lord Bondzie of No Tribe, Socrate Safo, Whitney Boakye, Kwasi Pee, Fredymah, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, Ahmed Banda of Bandex, Aisha Passah, Bernice Ansah, Roger Quartey, P&P Editor Isaac Yeboah, Charter House crew of Juno, Nii Ayeetey Hammond and Chris Koney, Ebenezer Anangfio of Ghanacelebrities, George Clifford Owusu of Daily Guide, among others.
