Seeing former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings dance at public events is no longer news, after dancing with Peace FMs Kwami Sefa Kayi, former President Kufour, KOD, KKD, Wutah among others at different events. What is news now is who she hits the dance floor with.
The latest to take on the former first lady was Kafui Dey, host of popular TV game show Who wants to be rich at the Beauty with a Purpose Charity Ball and the official launch of Miss Ghana 2012 at the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra on Tuesday May 22, 2012.
Kafui who spoke to Peacefmonline.com after his moment with Nana Konadu said he had made up his mind to challenge the former first lady on the dance floor anywhere he meets her and low and behold, he spotted Nana with her daughter at the Miss World event. I actually confronted her to dance with me and she gladly did, Kafui told Peacefmonline.com adding that he enjoyed every move on the dance floor with the friendly and funky former first lady.
Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos, Chief Mandela, Minister of Tourism Akua Sena Danso, The Accra Mayor, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Inna Marriam Patty CEO of Exclusive Events, Miss Ghana 2010 Stephanie Karikari and Mr. Larye of Media Whiz Kidz also took to the dance floor.
The Banquet Hall witnessed yet another historic milestone in the life of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Ghanas oldest pageant that seeks to reward the most beautiful and intelligent young lady in the country.
Even more refreshing, is the impressive array of societys high and mighty, socialites and the glitterati who graced what has already been said to be a night that was worth it.
Some of the dignitaries included; Julia Morley, Executive Chairwoman of the Miss World Organization, who graced the occasion together with the rest of the Miss World team including Ivian Sarcos, Miss World 2011, Miss Puerto Rico 2011 and Miss England 2011, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo with Nana Akufo Addo, actress Nadia Buari, for Miss Ghana queens, among others.
Ghana hosted for the very first time in the history of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Ivian Sarcos, the 22 year-old winner of the 2011 edition of Miss World, which the Miss Ghana pageant is affiliated to. Sarcos and her team were in Ghana from the 19th to 23rd May to support Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2010 winner and joint winner of last years Miss World Beauty with a purpose, to launch her project, as well as to attend the launch of the 2012 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant.
It was a night full of great fun, glitz and calculated glamour as every patron made the most of it. CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, Inna Mariam Patty underscored the importance her outfit is attaching to this years event, and for which reason why they are working hard at ensuring a smooth run when it goes full scale in the coming weeks.
When Patty announced the special prize packages that would constitute the bedrock of this years event, it was received with loud cheers, and got most of Ghanas corporate community who had thronged the Hall, nodding in appreciation.
Entertainment on the night was provided by Ghanaian music greats Kojo Antwi and Sherifa Gunu. Exclusive Events Ghana has said details of the 2012 event, which takes off properly next month, would be announced in the coming days.
