Dr. Cryme is one of the fastest growing new celebrities in Ghana whose specialization including singing, rapping, acting and more.

He was outdoored through the biggest exposure party in Ghana’s showbiz history by E-Jam records in June 2010 which almost led to a stampede at Bacardis night club and sports bar and further led to the closure of the pub for a minimum of six months for rehabilitation.

He further embarked on numerous socially active projects including being a UN volunteer for climate change which further facilitated a clean-up exercise at “Chokor” in Accra. He further launched
his “finally finally” album in 2011 and performed on numerous platforms in Ghana.

He won the most influential artiste for 2010/2011 music calendar at the High School honours, Golden heart Award in UK, Became an Ambassador for Kids and Traffic Campaign, won best hiplife song at Ghana Music Awards and further became the Samsung brand ambassador joining Didier Drogba, Beyonce Knowles etc on the same platform.

It is not surprising that his gospel song “it’s you” produced by Mix Masta Garzy and video shoot and edited by Nana Asihene had nomination at the 2011/2012 Ghana Gospel Awards. Dr Cryme’s song “It’s you” has been nominated for Best Alternative Gospel Song (text 6DC to 1739) and Best Alternative video (Text 7DC to 1739). He is poised to win both awards since the song and video are both on various charts and doing well abroad.

The manager of E-Jam Records, Mr. Korsah-Brown disclosed that the video was officially shoot in the UK after the Miss Ghana UK event somewhere in the third quarter of 2011. The video was however changed due to the concept and other issues with the offshore shoots.

Korsah-brown added that it always feels good to be nominated for an alternative award since the song and video was created not for awards but to express an appreciation by the artiste to his maker. He added that D Cryme’s “more fans” video will go commercial in July.
