Rapper, Kwaw Kesse revealed on TV3 on Saturday morning that Bola Ray, the organizer for the ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ showdown, is the first person to comply with the rapper’s $10, 000 performance fee.
He made a surprise appearance on The Divas Show, alongside hiplife group, Keche who are also billed to perform at the June 30th concert at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Kwaw Kese in April this year sent a straight forward message to event organizers and promoters, stating emphatically that he would not take anything less than $10,000 before he mounts any stage in Ghana. he added that if the event is outside Ghana, he may charge about double or even more.
So if you saw Kwaw Kese perform in Ghana on any stage before his declaration over the weekend, then it means he didn’t stick to what he believes he is worth. Did he perform at the VGMAs? How about the Bow Wow and Keri Hilson concert? Just thinking out loud!
