After massive publicity and high anticipation the 2nd Edition of the Legends and Legacy Ball came off last Saturday September 15, 2012 inside the main auditorium of the Accra International Conference Centre to honour and celebrate Highlife living legend Daniel ‘Abrantie’ Amakye Dede.
The night saw a great display of authentic highlife songs composed by the ‘seeeeeerious’ man which was performed by the various artistes billed to perform on the night including Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Nacy, Kwabena Kwabena, Eazzy, Becca, Daasebre Dwamena, Steve Bedi, Freddy Meiway and Abrantie Amakye Dede himself.
Aside the music various celebrities, performers and statesmen who graced the occasion expressed a great sense of fashion in their respective ways. It was however evident that, clothes made with African fabrics proudly made in Ghana is gradually taking center stage as far as fashion at events is concern both on stage and among the audience.
Among the several notable personalities present were; Former President Kuffour, Nana Akufo Addo and his wife Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Mrs. Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Minister of Information Hon. Fritz Baffour, boxing professor Azumah Nelson, International businessman Dr. Kofi Amoah, man of the night Amakye Dede, Actress Nana Ama McBrown and KSM.
