It’s interesting the kind news that comes out when a celebrities dies. After Nigerian pop singer and big brother housemate-Goldie Harvey’s shocking death, many online and off-line tongues have starting rolling in with unfortunate allegations that she was somehow killed by drugs.
Her wild showbiz personality and sudden death which followed her big Grammy party with the stars in the United States has raised a lot of issues including at alleged drug use as the cause of her death. This has attracted a reaction from by man by name Andrew Harvey who reportedly married Goldie some years ago even before her Big Brother appearance.
From the comments expressed on social media by her supposed husband-Andrew Harvey, it is clear he has heard of the fast spreading rumours and he certainly feels bitter about it.
Andrew is reported to have asked Goldie’s sweetheart from the Big Brother Stargame house, Prezzo to stay away. The message reads “Prezzo, please leave our family to grieve in peace. You have caused enough hurt and pain”, Andrew stated this on facebook and release a number of their wedding pictures to substantiate his claim.
This came after Prezzo who was not readily available for a comment on his fiancée’s death, posted on his facebook fan page wall “I AM SO GUTTED! SO GUTTED! SO GUTTED!”
Prezzo has since changed the profile picture and cover photo of his facebook fan page timeline with Goldie’s image. Yesterday it was reported by Bongo5.com that Prezzo was slated to visit Nigeria with a flower bouquet for Goldie to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
But her death later in the day remains a shock and many are yet to come to terms with it especially her boyfriend Prezzo who also posted she is “a goddess”
In other development sources from Reddington hospital, where Goldie died on Thursday night, the likely cause of her sudden death is pulmonary embolism.
According to an article on the New York Times website, “Life-threatening blood clots and flying have been linked for more than 50 years, but a new study of business travelers confirms the risk, particularly for those who take long flights or fly frequently. “Immobility is considered a major factor behind the condition, called deep vein thrombosis.
“But while it is often referred to as “economy-class syndrome” because of the cramped seating there, D.V.T. also occurs among those who fly in business class and first class, the researchers found. “People who fly four hours or more, the study found, have three times the risk of developing clots compared with periods when they did not travel.
“D.V.T. occurs when a blood clot forms within the large deep veins of the body, usually in the leg. If untreated, part of the clot may break off and travel to the lungs, where it can cause a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal condition.”
A report on National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s website, noted that “pulmonary embolism is a very serious condition. It can damage the lungs and other organs in the body and cause death.
According to close friends, the singer and former Big Brother contestant, was a frequent traveller and had complained of stress in the past weeks, but insisted she was fine. Her corpse was deposited at the LASU General Hospital this morning. Keep reading as the mystery untold.
