Trust Ghanaians to complain and shout out loud but when they have the real opportunity to make a difference, they would waste it…

Less than 90 days after President Mahama was voted into office, the current energy crisis has sparked a huge debate with certain people mentioning that they’ve regretted voting for John Mahama.

I bet if there is another election tomorrow, those complaining will still vote ‘It dey be keke’

Few days ago, The Statesman newspaper published an article titled “Celebrities Regret Campaigning for Mahama” which stated that, Miss Maliaka Runner-Up, Alexandra Ayiribi who actively campaigned for John Mahama and the NDC has mentioned in a message that she has regretted her actions.

In a quick rebuttal, Alexandra Ayiribi has written this;

“My attention has been drawn to a said publication on the front page of THE NEW STATESMAN newspaper of Tuesday 26th February, 2013 which sought to create the impression that I, Alexandra Ayirebi-Acquah regret campaigning for the NDC and President Mahama in the 2012 general elections.

I would like to put on record that the said story was misconstrued. I am a student who has been passionate about change and has tried through social involvement both in and outside campus to advance positive change or ideals that would bring about change which will be beneficial for all of us.

I want to reaffirm my commitment and loyalty to the President and the NDC government. I only expressed my view because the NDC is a party that has empowered the youth as I stated on the Ho platform, to freely express ourselves and identify as one people in good times and bad with the rest of population; the reason I mounted the platform in the first place.

I would like to state categorically that the President will deliver on his promises regardless of the challenges we face as a nation”.

It surely dey be keke! Let the crisis continue, we are solely behind you…
