The acclaimed Dancehall king has won a lot of hearts over the past weeks after his outburst at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards on May 18 and a follow up with a �below the belt� song for Charter House, organizers of the awards and after pouring unprintable insults on fellow artistes Samini and Kaakie. Even though negative, these incidents has all of sudden shot him to mainstream status.
The just ended maiden edition of Bass Awards has played a major role in giving Shatta Wale at lot of attention and giving him a positive outlook. Shata Wale used Bass Awards; the only awards scheme which fully recognizes the kind of music he does to overturn all the negativity into positive.
He used the platform to apologize to Samini and Kaakie to win a lot more following, to make his song more popular and show the whole world what he can do on stage.
Shata who was not known for talking about his private life or going public with his family pulled off a surprise by bringing his girlfriend and his mother to the Bass Awards night on Saturday July 6, 2013.
Even though he was not a nominee and he didn't also perform on the night, the �Shatta City� hit maker flaunted by his two ladies had attention much more than any other person in the auditorium.
He was however compiled to go to on stage when all girls group D3 insisted on giving him a special treat during their performance.
