Two popular urban radio stations in Accra with the finest presenters and Deejays will face it off at the upcoming Ghana DJ Awards slated for February 25. Y107.9FM, the Official frequency for the young and the young at heart has 5 nominations in 5 different categories.
YFM’s DJ Champagne and JOY FM’s DJ Black are in a fierce competition in the biggest category of the Ghana DJ Awards namely, Best DJ of the Year. The competition toughens between the two stations as Star presenter and Deejay of YFM, Sammy Forson battles it out with DJ Black in two other significant categories, Best Male Radio DJ of the Year and Best Music Promoter of the Year.
Jay Foley, Station Manager of YFM in an exclusive interview shared their pleasure to gain nominations again in the Ghana DJ Awards this year. He said “We are very pleased to gain another set of nominations this year after receiving 3 accolades in the Ghana DJ Awards last year.
Over the past years, YFM Deejays and presenters have been nominated and given several awards at different prestigious awards ceremonies in Ghana including the Ghana DJ Awards. It comes with a great feeling and a sense of achievement when you are recognised and given the nod to even do more of what you do best. We are hopeful to win in the categories we have been nominated in again this year. He concluded by congratulating all Deejays and Presenters who have been nominated in the various categories of the Ghana DJ awards.
