The GMA’s is near and as we do always, we put up polls on our music website, BiGxGh.Com, this poll is the reason why Shatta Wale had an outburst last year as he thought it was affiliated with the Ghana Music Awards program. Nevertheless it’s still relevant as it’s the opinion of Ghanaian music listeners on our website.
This year’s category seems a bit tough as it has the hit maker Guru, most successful and talked-about artiste of the year, Shatta Wale and the undisputed Sarkodie who has won the title 2 times in the past 3 years. The competition is tougher this year. As much as Shatta Wale thinks he has no competition, Guru is creeping up faster and giving him a run for his money.
According to our polls we put on BiGxGh.Com which had 10,721 votes, Guru is leading and the polls with 36% (3,825), Shatta Wale next with 34% (3,690) of the votes and people’s favorite rapper, Sarkodie next with only 18% (1,974). The poll results make us want to ask this question, Does Sarkodie stand a chance in the battle of who wins “Artiste Of The Year” this year? Check out the polls results below and leave your comments.
