The death has been announced in Accra of actress Lily Ameyaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa in the Obra drama series on television. She was 55.
The leader of the Obra drama group, Amankwa Ampofo, described the late actress as a versatile player and a very friendly person. She joined Obra in 1989.
The late Nana Yaa was also for sometime a panelist on Peace FM’s Wo Ba Ada Anaa’programme.
The one week celebration of her death will come off on Wednesday, January 14, at Sekyere Dumase, near Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
