Wednesday's heavy downpour in Accra that claims several lives and left others homeless has also destroyed a local TV station.
The free-to-air station, GHOne located at North industrial area was flooded with its members trapped on the station's rooftop.
The trapped workers were rescued by National Disaster Management Organization [NADMO] officials when Peace FM announced their ordeal.
GHOne studios, according to a staff – “has been destroyed. The place is in a total mess now but we thank God for our lives”.
GHOne TV is a sister company of Charterhouse Limited, organisers of the Ghana Music Awards and Miss Malaika shows.
This is not the first time the station has been hit with such disaster whenever there is a heavy downpour in Accra.
