“Rawlings Is The Coolest President Ever" – Yvonne Nelson

Actress, Yvonne Nelson, has disclosed that former President Jerry John Rawlings is her favorite Ghanaian leader so far.

Speaking with Joy FM’s Lexis Bill, Yvonne said her favorite politician is former President Jerry John Rawlings.

“Rawlings is the coolest President ever," she said, adding: "I like him as a leader".

Yvonne’s comment did not come as a surprise because papa J came to her defense when certain irresponsible politicians decided to insult her during her #DumsorMustStop campaign.  

“That lady, Yvonne; Yvonne Nelson…the insults and attacks on her are unfair. She spoke her mind on what is currently happening in the country and she gets insulted for that. This is not how to do politics, this is not nice”, Rawlings stated.

Quizzed about what she thinks about President John Mahama’s administration and his style of governance, Yvonne who was a bit skeptical in her response perhaps for fear unnecessary politicization, said “I have nothing to say about that. I believe he is an amazing President....he’s doing a great job. That’s all I can say.”

Meanwhile, Yvonne Nelson is set to premiere her latest movie which is her first produced epic movie, If Tomorrow Never Comes today, June 5, 2015 at the Silverbird Cinemas at Accra Mall and West Hills Mall in Accra.

The movie tells an epic story of a young girl, Ewurabena, who was sold into slavery by her wicked uncle after her mother died leaving her and her kid brother in the village.

She went through all kinds of inhumane treatments in the hands of her handlers. There was even an attempt on her life, but she escaped to the city to hawk on the streets as her only means of survival.

The movie which stars David Dontoh, Kweku Elliot,Khareemah Aguiar, Becca, Bismark the Joke, Yvonne herself and a host of other popular faces.
