Actor/Comedian, Asonaba Kweku Darko, also known as Super O.D, says he has fourteen children with six different women.
In an interview on Kasapa FM Friday, the veteran actor disclosed that during his acting days, they were paid old One hundred thousand cedis (¢100,000.00) now Ten Ghana Cedis (¢10.00) as weekly wages, Five Ghana Cedis (GH¢5.00) of which he gave out to his wives for the running of the home.
“I have fourteen children with six different women. It was difficult when we started staging the ‘Osofo Dadzie’ drama; we were not paid enough but only given One hundred thousand cedis (¢100,000.00) now Ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢10.00).
Comparing the commercial successes of the film and theatre industry as it existed years ago and now, the Veteran actor, said during the rule of General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong, the ‘Osofo Dadzie’ crew were given mortgages for high purchase at Dansoman, Exhibition. Their weekly wages he also said were increased to Twenty-seven Ghana cedis, fifty pesewas (GH¢27.50).
