Speaking on ‘Rhythmz Live’ with Berla Mundi on Thursday, December 16, Afro Pop singer, Noella Wiyaala, disclosed the harshest statement thrown at her for simply appearing less feminine in structure.
The award winning singer has come under severe trolls and very unpleasant comments from people who perceive her to be ugly and also think she appears more like a man than a woman.
Replying a troll she endured sometime back when she revealed her virginity status, she received a horrible comment which stated that one will need a chainsaw to be able to break her virginity – tongue in cheek!.
“It’s cool, it’s fantastic. I don’t get angry with these insults anymore” she said. She stressed that she has heard harsher and worse comments. “These ones are baby, koko. I have heard worse, someone actually told me I have a penis.”
Wiyala disclosed that when she was in her teens, she used to beat up people who passed uncanny comments about her appearance. The 29 year old singer also revealed that she tried bleaching to fit in and to look beautiful but stopped all the efforts when she got to 18 because she developed a high level of self-love, confidence, and acceptance.
