Late veteran Ghanaian actor Ebenezer Donkor, popularly known as Katawere, of Efiewura TV series fame, has been laid to rest today Saturday March 11.
He was buried at Akyem Takorase, near Kade, in the Eastern Region.
Katawere died on Monday 14 November from an undisclosed illness. He mostly acted Akan movies and featured in films with seasoned stars like Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Kyeiwaa, Lil Win, and a host of others. Most of his movies are characterised by comedy.
His wife Beatrice Boatemaa told Accra News on Saturday 11 March: “By the grace of God, we have finished with the funeral. Everything went as expected.
“All his fans and colleague actors from Accra, Kumasi, and various parts of the country came to support the funeral. The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, also supported us, although he could not attend the funeral.”
Katawere was 78.
