He is back on radio and has promised his fans the best but warns nobody, including artistes, should pester him to give their songs airplay as he will not succumb to their demands.

Blakk Rasta who now hosts Taxi Driver on Zylofon FM having been off radio for two and half years says he chooses which songs to play on his show.

As monitored by abrantepa.com, Wednesday, the ‘Salaga Soldier’ noted on the show that until he is convinced that a particular song is nice and ought to be played for his listener, he will never give it rotation no matter whose work it is.

“If your music is not played, it’s nothing personal. It means I don’t like it. I don’t like it so my listeners will not like it. It’s simple. Which radio presenter will sit on radio and not play your song if your song will make his program bigger? Think about it,” he said.

“Remember the show is run by Blakk Rasta. And remember I’ve told you that I’m the man you’ll hate because you will never hear what you want from me. You will only hear what His Imperial Majesty has asked me to tell you. The same way you will never hear the kind of music you want to hear. You will hear it only if my Lord and King inspire me to play,” he added.

The outspoken radio presenter recounted giving his songs to some presenters, most of whom refused to play on their shows. Nonetheless, he mounted no pressure on them nor took offence for their postures.

“I gave my CD to a lot of people; some of them never played and I didn’t call anyone to ask why they are not playing my tune. The most important thing is I’ve given you my CD. If your spirit feels good about it and you want to play it, fine. And when you play it, I will follow up and say, ‘thank you, brother’. But I will never take it personal if you never play my song,” he noted.

Blakk Rasta who hosted the Taxi Driver show on Hitz FM for about 8 years, resigned from the station in June 2015 after he was hauled before the Privileges Committee for allegedly claiming that about 80% of Parliamentarians smoke marijuana.

According to him, he resigned because he felt betrayed by management of the station.
